The Philosopher’s Compass: A new course in April!
Join us for discussions about Stoic principles, our relationship to nature, role models, values, virtues, and themes from my book Beyond Stoicism. And create your own life's purpose statement!
Have you ever wondered about how to define your own sense of purpose in this chaotic and often disorienting world? Are you interested in discovering a more meaningful path forward?
If so, I hope you’ll consider joining me for a new 4-week online course that I will be offering along with philosophical writer Brittany Polat starting Saturday, April 5!
Our course, The Philosopher’s Compass: A Guided Journey to Finding Purpose, will provide philosophical tools and coaching-based methods to unlock growth and new wisdom. Brittany and I will co-lead discussions about Stoic principles, our relationship to nature, philosophical role models, values, the virtues, and more.
There will be no long, dry lectures. Instead, you’ll hear me and Brittany sharing ideas in conversation, and with interactive breakouts, peer coaching with other learners, you’ll stay engaged. We will also offer you optional activities, fieldwork, and journaling to promote even more learning and reflection between sessions.
The Philosopher’s Compass will be held on Zoom every Saturday in April (April 5, 12, 19, and 26) from 9 – 10:30 am PDT / 12 noon – 1:30 pm EDT / 5 – 6:30 pm BST. The course costs $89, and it will not be recorded (for privacy reasons).
I’m excited to be partnering with Brittany (author of several great books on Stoic topics – here’s her official website) on The Philosopher’s Compass. She brings deep wisdom and a brilliant understanding of philosophy! I was also motivated to launch this course by my work co-authoring Beyond Stoicism, recommended reading for this class, which informs many of the themes we’ll be discussing. In addition, my Co-Active Professional Certified Coaching training over the past year has given me new perspectives on how to understand our values, virtues, and how we want to live by them. So many tools in our toolbox!
Our goal is that by the end of this course, you’ll create your own life’s purpose statement that will help you feel a meaningful sense of direction going forward!
